The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s payables, ensuring timely payments, accurate record-keeping, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors. This role is vital in supporting the finance team and maintaining financial discipline.Job Responsibilities:Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and approvals.Verify purchase orders, delivery notes, and other supporting documents before processing payments.Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve invoice discrepancies or queries.Prepare and schedule timely payments through cheques, bank transfers, and online platforms.Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate documentation of transactions.Assist in month-end closing by providing reports and necessary documentation.Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and flag any overdue balances.Coordinate with the procurement and inventory departments to validate purchase entries.Prepare accounts payable aging reports and assist with internal and external audits.Maintain confidentiality of financial data and uphold the integrity of accounting processes.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–3 years of proven experience in an accounts payable role.Strong understanding of accounting principles and payables workflow.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems preferred).Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
