Our commitment is to celebrate character – no matter what ethnic background, gender, age, religion, identity, or disability.About the job: Kent is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.Skills and Responsibilities: Responsible for managing the design and drawing office, establishing and monitoring engineering standards for the development of systems design, providing engineering & environmental services both for Head Office & Site Offices. Responsible for the efficiency and profitability of the Engineering Department To ensure that the coordination among all disciplines interfaces within the ED is in compliance with the project requirements. Main interface with Client for engineering related activities to ensure that all reasonable requests are met. Prepare monthly progress report on all projects and closely monitor performance. Approve all engineering / design work undertaken by the engineering group in accordance with company QA/QC procedures. Assign the manpower on all engineering projects and shall liaise directly with Project Managers for manning and de- manning of engineering staff. Select supporting software programs required to operate the design functions as applicable. Assign the specific job responsibility to a person who will keep full control of all documentation produced during the progress of the work. To ensure that design activities are performed in accordance with the planned programme. To provide necessary support and information to the Procurement Manager for technical bid evaluations, Manage the preparation of Bid Proposals He will have a supervisory role in preparation of engineering deliverables during bidding stage & modification if any on award of engineering contracts. Co-ordinate the preparation of Bid submittals with Business Development. Conduct interview as required. Have authority to negotiate and sign on behalf of the section within the responsibility. Responsible for completion of all engineering works necessary to honor contractual obligations or other undertakings to the client in respect of final handover. Continually review work and QA/QC procedures and modify as necessary. Maintain/long term customer relations and retain them. Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: Engineering Degree in an Engineering Discipline Professional registration with appropriate bodies e.g. IEI etc Minimum of 18 years of experience in EPC/Design environments Proven ability to run multiple projects.
