Job Description
Responsibilities:Develop and implement detailed maintenance plans for solar power plants, covering preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. Oversee the performance of solar installations by analyzing data from monitoring systems to identify and address issues affecting energy generation or system efficiency. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to solar energy systems, including faulty equipment, wiring problems, and communication errors. Lead a team of technicians by providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure effective and safe execution of all tasks at various sites. Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers to schedule maintenance activities, procure spare parts, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. Identify opportunities to optimize energy generation and system performance through equipment upgrades, component replacements, and operational adjustments. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and system incidents. Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators, maintenance costs, and operational efficiency. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance O&M practices, increasing the overall reliability and profitability of solar installations. Handling Shutdowns, Outages, and Testing: Manage shutdown, outage, and testing activities of the entire solar PV system. RequirementsRequirements/Qualifications:Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of on-site experience in rooftop solar PV operation and maintenance, with hands-on experience with various PV inverters.Location: Candidate should be based in the UAE, possess a valid driving license, and own a car.Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Professional Certifications: Solar PV Professional, DEWA certification, or similar credentials.Skills & Abilities:Technical Knowledge in Solar PV SystemsMaintenance and TroubleshootingPerformance Monitoring and Data AnalysisTeam Leadership and ManagementHealth and Safety ComplianceContract Management and Vendor RelationsProblem-Solving and Decision-MakingLanguage: Proficiency in English.Software Skills: Professional proficiency in MS Office.
