Legal and Intellectual Property Manager

As a Legal and Intellectual Property Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, protecting intellectual property, and mitigating legal risks. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing legal affairs related to our esports operations, including contract negotiations, intellectual property matters, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Compliance:Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations relevant to the esports industryStay abreast of legal developments and changes that may impact the organization's operationsContract Negotiations:Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including sponsorship agreements, licensing agreements, player contracts, and other legal documentsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business objectives and legal requirementsIntellectual Property Management:Develop and implement strategies for protecting the organization's intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.Conduct intellectual property searches and assessments to ensure compliance and avoid infringementDispute Resolution:Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation if necessaryCollaborate with external legal counsel when needed, ensuring effective representation of the organization's interestsRegulatory Compliance:Work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to gaming and esports regulations in Saudi ArabiaProvide guidance on regulatory changes and potential impacts on EWCFRisk Management:Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and propose strategies to mitigate such risksDevelop and implement policies and procedures to minimize legal exposureJob Requirements5+ proven international experience in Legal and Intellectual Property roles, particularly in the esports or entertainment industryUniversity degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; specialization in intellectual property law is a plus.
