This includes the maintenance of the servers/switches and the network infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesWorking on Rapiscan’s Product Line:Learn from the IT Specialists the Server setup and PLC engineers for integration and commissioning and become proficient. Design, install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.Maintain the integrity of a network system by overseeing the cooling system, the delivery capacity of the system server and the installed software. Installs, tests and maintains the network system, set up firewalls, the UPS, routers and data circuits, as well as manages all aspects of the system like telecommunications and database systems. Plan and implement server backup and recovery procedures.Monitor server performance and capacity utilization and recommend upgrades as needed.Develop and maintain Documentation for server infrastructure.Install and configure software and applications on servers.Respond to server or network outages and incidents in a timely manner.Troubleshoot server/network issues and provide resolution.Carry out service site surveys prior to installations and professional site reports.Fitting, system diagnosis, troubleshooting and fault finding on Detection systems & sub systems, carrying out the repair, maintenance and overhaul as necessary elements of Detection systems and escalation for rectification of system issues.Documentation: Completing technical documentation including service reports, engineering change requests & inputting service data to a simple functional database, Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and Planned Maintenance, corrective repair and Service inspections documentation Carries out all preventive and corrective maintenance works and attends all call-outs. Detailed failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution.Spare parts recommendations to management for different service levels or periodic service intervalsWorks on shifts pattern to support key customer site.Makes sure to submit service reports and non-conformance reports as required without delay.Give regular feedback to Engineering, Product Line Management and QA as part of our continuous improvement programme. Customer skills: Daily interface with operators, technicians and BHS managers on equipment status issues.Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements of the company and at customer’s site.Reach out to Engineering / PLM on technical matters when neededResponsible for distributing information to team members and request permission from stakeholders (Duty Manager) to complete planned work.As a technical expert, provide recommendations to improve work and ensure availability of maintained equipment.Completes all scheduled maintenance within required deadlines.Documents all maintenance and repair work submitting paperwork in required time frame.Order, install, and return parts per regulation.Maintain a safe/clean work environment and ensure company safety procedures and product workmanship procedures are adhered to.QualificationsEssential Degree in Industrial Engineering, IT or relevant technical field with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the administration, configuration and management of a CMMS software applicationServer and Switch Configuration experienceTrouble-shoot complex systems and logically work through problems.Proven knowledge of computer systems including network administration and design. Basic Knowledge in Linux OSKnowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, electronics or complex electro-mechanical equipment or systems. Or knowledge of HV Systems i.e. Medical or Industrial engineering discipline.Knowledge of server configuration and upgrades to server hardware and softwareExperience of configuring network settings, DNS settings and routing protocols.Experience with Windows server administration, including active directory.Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-VExperience with Storage/Database configurationKnowledge of Fibre Cable Splicing and TestingExperience with WAN/LAN technologies and protocols, OSPF, RIP, VPN, Switching, VLAN, NAT, PAT, ACL, SNMP, T1, leased lines and structured cabling.Computer literate: competency in use of programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.Must pass the necessary security checks to work at the Airport Candidate RequirementsMaintain clear and concise business communication proficiency, both oral and writtenDetail oriented, well organized, and self-motivated with strong interpersonal skillsMust be team player with ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.Flexible schedule based on locations’ contractual operational; non-standard hours including on-call, weekends and holidays required.Flexible during times of change and reacts to project adjustments promptly and efficiently.Must be self-motivated and work well under pressure.Articulate both the Product and Process to any Customer or Programme StakeholderDesirableExperience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting MS Windows based servers and workstations.Experience with Linux/Unix server administration.Experience programming PLC’s.Knowledge of high-end X-ray systems (RTT/ETD/BPI) or computed tomography a major advantageExperience in field service environment, x-ray industry is highly desired.Recognised qualification in an IT (Microsoft, cisco etc) is a plus.
