We share their goals and long-term ambitions; we’re on the same journey to create places and infrastructure which will support long term sustainable development, healthy living and vibrant communities.ResponsibilitiesSupport the specification, documentation and design of technical solutionsDevelopment of OpenLayer and ArcGIS client API map componentsProvide technical assistance and support to other developers within the project teamPerform and deliver allocated project tasks, to quality, time and budget requirements, as directed by team leaderTo provide input to the development of the deployment planTo document agreed solutions according to project standardsCommunicate effectively with colleagues and clientsTo support the deployment of the solution, including preparation and delivery of analysis, demonstrations, workshops, training and documentationEssential RequirementsNumerate degree (Computer Science or Mathematics preferred) (or equivalent)Minimum 5 years experience within the IT/GIS industry, with a minimum of three years experience developing solutions with Geospatial technologyExposure and experience working in an agile development environmentDemonstrate proficiency in ASP.NET, C#.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript , AJAX, Jquery, REST and SOAPExperience in the development of solutions using one or more of ESRI ArcGIS for SharePoint; ESRI ArcGIS API for Silverlight/WPF; Open source GIS (e.g. OpenLayers and GeoServer); Oracle Spatial; PostgreSQL / PostGIS; Java; OGC standards; Microsoft SharePoint; JQueryProficient in the delivery of allocated project tasks, to quality, time and budget requirementsDesirable RequirementsGood problem-solving skills and ability to work within a development team environmentEnthusiasm for emerging technologies and willingness to embrace new skillsBe able to contribute to other elements of the project lifecycle: i.e. software release, support and maintenance and documentationGood communicator in the English language, both written and verbal, and with colleagues and clientsAdaptability, pragmatic and flexibleWhy choose AtkinsRéalisYour difference makes a difference.
