Havelock One Interiors is looking for a ‘Procurement Manager’ to join our team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).BackgroundSince 1998, Havelock One Interiors has established itself as a leading turnkey fit-out service provider in the Middle East. We specialise in interior contracting and the manufacturing of bespoke joinery, metalworks and sophisticated shop fittings.As a result of expansion in the key growth market of KSA we are seeking to appoint experienced leaders to take our business forward. Consequently, the ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager position (as well as other vacancies in KSA) shall be flexible and adaptable. In return, you will be rewarded with great opportunities to work on challenging projects in this key growth market.Role SummaryThe Procurement Manager will take a leadership role within the procurement function, in accordance with company policies, processes and standards.Duties And ResponsibilitiesEnforce company policy, legal and contractual best practices regarding suppliersEliminate bias from the purchasing process by operating strictly within company guidelines at ‘arms-length’ for vendors and suppliersMonitor and analyse trends in company spending and inventory control in order to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savingsEnsure that all purchases made continue to support the Company’s business strategy and are compliant with company policiesNegotiate terms with suppliers to ensure the best possible price, payment terms and delivery dates for materials and productsDevelop strategies for motivating vendors to provide above-average servicesIdentify and pre-qualify new vendors to support business needs and future plansManage and maintain good relationships with vendorsExpand the capacity of the purchasing function in supporting bespoke and specialized interior related products/materialsTo keep an update about import proceduresEvaluate potential suppliers to improve supply chain managementAssess vendor resources and expertiseDevelop metrics and standards for vendor performance in all vendor categoriesMonitor vendor performance, intervening when performance falls below an acceptable thresholdMaintain a database of preferred vendors for materials and shippingCoordinate with accounts for processing ordersCoordinate with the execution team for verifying and confirming material/product requirementsEnsure purchasing records are properly maintained by creating detailed delivery schedules, raise purchase orders, update logs and update reportsTrack orders to ensure materials are on schedule and delivered on-timeAnalyse and negotiate purchasing contracts to ensure they are within budget, subject to the approval of the ‘Division Director’Obtain information regarding current developments or trends in buying/purchasing methods, market prices, product changes and technical specificationsEnsure that requisitions are processed in accordance with established company policies and control proceduresCoordinate with other departments to ensure availability of critical stock itemsIssue and update inventory of supplies to ensure availabilityTrack the stock of raw materials and components according to specific project numberEnsure correct cost allocation and plan procurement in a timely mannerPersonal qualitiesWe are looking for a versatile Procurement Manager in KSA who has the following experience, skills and personal attributes:Excellent verbal and written English skills10 to 15 years of experience within procurement, including at least 3 years in a senior or leadership roleIdeally experienced in a procurement function within fit-out construction or joinery manufacturing industriesUnderstanding of the tender and vendor management processesExcellent negotiation skills and experience in negotiating best price, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliersLikeable, positive and assertive personalityStrong Excel and Word skills and ideally experienced in using bespoke procurement software (e.g. ERP and MRP software) We are looking forward to receiving your application for the position as Procurement Manager in KSA in case you meet the above-mentioned criteria.Shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
