Job Description
The Agronomy Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the agronomy functions, including crop planning, cultivation, and harvest. The role requires a strong knowledge of agronomy principles and practices, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and implement crop production plans, including soil preparation, planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest and disease control.
- Monitor crop growth and development to ensure crops are healthy and produced optimally.
- Collect and analyze data on crop performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve crop yield and quality.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure that crops meet quality standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain accurate and timely record-keeping of crop activities.
- Stay up to date on new developments in agronomy and crop production techniques.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in crop production and management.
- Strong knowledge of crop science, soil science, and pest and disease control.
- Experience with greenhouse and/or hydroponic crop production.
- Experience specifically in the field of medicinal and aromatic herbs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
