Delivery Manager - PSS

Synopsis The Delivery Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of technology projects from the planning and requirements phase to project delivery and closure while ensuring the project delivers significant business value. This role also includes sprint planning sessions, backlog grooming sessions, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives. This role will be responsible for resolving impediments and clearing the backlog and acting as a coach to increase agility and support working with the scrum methodology and tools. Time, budget and quality are key performance indicators of delivery. The projects could be delivered using a both a modern waterfall & agile methodology. Accountabilities Responsible for the on time and on budget delivery of projects, within agreed scope and quality measures Responsible for the benefits realisation of all projects managed Develop and maintain the overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the business Lead the project team in scoping activities to identify, capture and analyse requirements, define key business drivers and oversee thedelivery of an effective and innovative solution Identify critical stakeholders and create a stakeholder management plan, to manage the relationship between teams successfully Ensure regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, by distributing minutes of meeting, project status updates and projectdocumentation Work with Business Analysts to manage scope and change control Education & Experience 3+ years of experience in project management using a modern waterfall delivery methodologyBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent is mandatoryCertification is Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE 2, Scrum Master CSM or SAFeis beneficialProficient in using Microsoft Office Project and Project Portfolio Management toolsKnowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the rightproportions to fit a project and business environmentEvaluate and address complex project risks and issues accurately and objectivelyEffective interpersonal skills including collaborating, team building, andcommunication skills tobuild strong relationships withstakeholdersExperience in relevant business/development support,agile delivery, userstory creation, writing, and estimationAbout Etihad AirwaysEtihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, was formed in 2003 and quickly went on to become one of the world’s leading airlines.
