Job Description

Position Summary This position is part of the content management team to define and deploy social evergreen and adaptive activities to the brand’s public. The Content Manager should be an experienced channel manager with a social media or content strategy background with a passion for engaging consumers. Minimum Qualifications Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields.3-4 years’ experience managing social media platforms or communities for brands, including, preferably in an agency settingProven track record of success using social media as a marketing tool Primary Responsibilities Thought Leadership/Technical & Marketing Craft Collaborate with social strategists and directors to develop cross-brand strategies and agency POVs for emerging social media platformsEnsure channel strategies are aligned with overall brand strategiesEvaluate third-party tools and industry trends within relevant social channelsDevelop insights to feed back into brand strategy & customer persona workSteward of the brand on social platforms, able to translate the brand voice to social Internal Integration Develop plans for optimizing and evolving evergreen efforts across multiple channels for selective brandsCollaborate with other agency teams to ensure overall client goals and paid, earned, and owned posts and campaign objectives are metHolds relationships with key stakeholders within agency and with clientsCollaborates with peers and actively participates in team, staff and client meetingsDisplays strong work ethic and shares company valuesWorks closely with the analyst to come up with better insights and recommendations to clients Breakthrough Work/Execution Lead the development, implementation and ongoing optimization of channel strategiesEnsure clear metrics are in place to measure and improve team effortsOwn, develop and implement a social content calendar working with creative teamsPlan, curate and create content to sustain channel growth and fan engagementLead regular reporting on channel performance alongside digital analyst to feed into broader brand reporting Client Management Present content plans, channel strategies, insights and optimization plans to clientsManages the content asset briefs and suggests proactive ways to produce content inside and outside the agency production capabilitieTeam Growth Responsible for the growth and development of the Community Manager What You Need to Possess … What You Need to Possess in Thought Leadership/ Technical and Marketing Craft: Extensive knowledge of current and emerging social channels and best practicesDemonstrated ability to map out a marketing strategy and drive the content strategy using proven testing methods and metricsExperience locating and engaging advocates within the community to foster dialogueAble to recognize, demonstrate and communicate analytically sound ideasPossesses understanding of what’s possible on various technology platforms and the ability to educate and integrate the needs of clients, creative team and developersEqually comfortable in both creative and analytical worldsStrong understanding of audience targeting/messagingUnderstanding of how business objectives translate into marketing objectives to drive ROI What You Need to Possess in Internal Integration: Ability to collaborate with others from different disciplines within Social to lead the best and most strategic workAbility to articulate strategies and best practices in your area of expertiseSeeks out and works with others internally within social, within the traditional agency and even across agencies to drive innovation, expand possibilities and maintain creative excellence What You Need to Possess in Breakthrough Work/ Execution: Ability to establish metrics, glean community insights and report/recommend strategies that achieve marketing goalsStrong research and analytical skills to back up data-driven business decisions What You Need to Possess inClient Management: Nurtures good working relationships with clientsAbility to pitch and win new businessAbility to listen to and understand client needs and translate them into high quality, compelling creativeAbility to write clear and concise presentations for client (summarizing data insights, outcomes and implications) in straight-forward and enlightening way for clientsPresents effectively and as a credible storyteller in client meetings and new business pitchesPushes clients towards fresh, exciting ideasAbility to create a strategic marketing budget that is realistic and within client limits What You Need to Possess inTeam Growth: Reinforce agency values and work ethic with team membersAbility to lead and inspire others formally or informallyCultivates the next level of social talentProvides clear direction and provides timely, helpful feedbackCelebrate accomplishments of teamSeeks and embraces feedback
