Job Title: InspectorSector: TourismDepartment: Licensing & Regulatory ComplianceSection: InspectionDirect Manager: Inspection Head Job Purpose To assist in the Events Inspection operations and facilitate in ensuring appropriate inspection and monitoring procedures are designed, conducted and implemented in-line with the Licensing & Regulatory Compliance standards and requirements at DCT. Ensure all licensed Tourism and Culture sector events adhere to the defined standards and regulations of DCT. Key ResponsibilitiesInspection Operations: Support in inspections of all Tourism and Culture events and festival activities to ensure adherence to the DCT’s policies and regulations Assist in issuance of warning letters with corrective actions if violations are identified and conduct follow up with inspection visits to ensure adherence to the Licensing & Regulatory Compliance standards and requirements. Facilitate investigation and reporting of events violations and suggest fines in-line with the issued laws and regulations and coordinate with other law enforcement agencies for the repossession of stolen art collections and detention of violators. Facilitate implementation of inspection and monitoring processes in line with the DCT Licensing & Regulatory Compliance standards and requirements. Assist in conducting random Event inspections at venues/locations periodically to ensure ongoing compliance and adherence to set standards and regulations. Report violations of defaulting entities to the Compliance section to undertake suitable action and escalate the industry complaints for further investigation and ensure any complaints for non-compliance to standards are well managed. Ensure compliance to conservation regulations, EHS norms and criteria. Investigate and identify culture and heritage violations. Maintain inspection databases with all records and reports are up-to-date for management review and to support DCT decision making process. Assist in reporting and recording of inspection activities including attendance, completed inspections, violations and provide written reports to the department manager as required. Consolidate and analyze the violations by Tourism and Culture sector events to develop reports and forward them to the compliance team. Policies, Processes and Procedures Follow all relevant section policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. Collaboration Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on matters related to Events Inspection unit in order to facilitate flow of information and also to build awareness in those areas. Day-to-Day Operations Follow the day-to-day operations set by the Line Manager in the Events Inspection unit to ensure continuity of work and the delivery of effective and high quality outputs. Report on a regular basis to Events Inspection Head on the operational activities Events Inspection unit, Its challenges, hurdles and methods of resolution or mitigation, etc. as required to keep the Line Manager informed and updated on the Events Inspection unit’s activities. EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, report incidents and hazards in a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
