Description JOB DETAILS:Position Title:Senior Manager - (Desalination – O&M)Reports To:Executive Manager, Ahmad AlharthiFunction:CTO JOB PURPOSE:To act as center of expertise providing in-depth technical experience and knowledge to RO Portfolio and using that knowledge to design and implement engineering solutions to feed into various of the asset life cycle from bid to asset operations in order to provide ACWA Power with the right guidance and steer from an engineering point of view. with a clear focus on the O&M support during trouble shooting and also ultimately on a proactive approach to prevent an issue or create an added value. JOB DIMENSIONS:Direct Reports:Number of Staff Supervised:Total: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:DescriptionPerformance IndicatorsTechnical ServicesSupport the Project Directors and Engineering Managers by reviewing the designs and engineering drawings prepared by the EPC contractors ensuring that the designs are as per the specifications and providing critical input to improvise wherever applicable from O&M perspective. Review, monitor and analyse the technical data from the operating plants and the track record of equipment failures, input the feedback back into the bid-preparation stage, to ensure all the learnings are captured and improved upon and any risks are mitigated at an early stage.Act as a centre of expertise in desalination engineering, sharing technical know-how with the team, providing technical insights and best practices and having technical discussions with team members, consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure their knowledge is leveraged for the best interest of the organisation.Transfer knowledge from the tendering team to the EPC Contractors / Asset Management team, verifying the tender and achieving scope stability and handover. Also, making sure RoS are followed.Provide guidance and specialist technical expertise to EPC Contractor / NOMAC in order to enable them to solve complex engineering problems in a timely and efficient manner.In the operations phase.monitor and negotiate the terms for the equipment configuration, maintenance and warranties with the vendors and ensure the equipment is delivered as per the specifications.Work with NOMAC O&M team and performance department to monitor plant behaviours and predict any failure potential or improvementTimely and efficient services to internal clientsEffective knowledge sharing, monitoring, and advising stakeholders on the technical disciplinePolicies and ProceduresImplement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders.Adherence to company policies and proceduresContinuous ImprovementManage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes, and projects in line with the organisation’s standards.Identification of continuous improvement projectsAd hoc support to the managementPerform other related duties or assignments as directed.Timely completion of the assignments as per the desired quality COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Internal:Working closely with the BD team, internal technical service team, Assets teamExternal:Needs to build a rapport with EPC Contractors, O&M Contractors, Vendors, external consultants, technical experts, and solution providers, etc. QUALIFICATINS & EXPERIENCE:
