Treasury & Taxation Manager

The Taxation and Treasury Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the organization's tax obligations and optimizing its cash flow management strategies. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and reporting, as well as implementing effective treasury management practices to ensure liquidity and financial stability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in taxation and treasury management, particularly within the UAE market.Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all local and international tax regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax and other applicable taxes. Prepare and submit all tax related (Corporate Tax, VAT, etc.) Returns, Declarations and other filings accurately and on time.Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and advise management on their implications.Provide leadership and guidance to the Finance and Accounts team on treasury and tax matters, including training and development – where necessary.Prepare and analyze tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and other tax-related financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during tax audits and inquiries.Monitor, prepare and analyze the organization's cash flow position and liquidity levels. Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures to optimize cash utilization and mitigate liquidity risks.Prepare short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making processes. Identify potential cash flow gaps or surpluses and recommend appropriate actions to manage them effectively.Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, including negotiating banking facilities, maintaining bank accounts and optimizing banking services and fees. Monitor bank account balances and transactions to ensure accuracy and integrity of cash records.Evaluate investment opportunities and recommend investment strategies to maximize returns on excess cash balances while minimizing risks. Monitor investment performance and ensure compliance with investment policies and regulatory requirements.Oversee treasury operations, including cash disbursements, wire transfers, foreign exchange transactions and hedging activities. Implement controls and safeguards to protect the organization's cash and financial assets.Keep close tab on the cost of financing - a regular basis. Evaluate and implement treasury management systems (TMS) and other financial technologies to streamline treasury processes, enhance visibility and control over cash flows and improve decision-making capabilities.Qualifications & Skills:Professional certification (e.g., ACA, FCA, CPA, ACCA) is mandatory.Extensive experience in taxation and treasury management, with a focus on cash flow management, preferably in the UAE market.In-depth knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations, including VAT, corporate income tax, and transfer pricing rules.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in financial modeling, cash flow forecasting and treasury management systems (TMS) is highly desirable.Familiarity with banking products and services, investment management principles and risk management techniques.
