A high profile service provider for the exhibition industry is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to be responsible for developing sales in designated target markets, identifying new sales opportunities with potential clients through networking, lead penetration and customer appointments with the goal of acquiring new accounts.The ideal candidate will come from an exhibition organiser, contractor for the exhibition industry, venue or hotel and have a great understanding of the international exhibition industry.You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and growing the client portfolio revenue whilst also developing and converting new leads, with a professional, flexible and customer driven approachResponsibilities include:Developing and implementing sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics and timeframes to maximize revenueRepresent the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning and ensuring assigned customers' needs and expectations are met by the companyLeading designated account teams, establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel and assign customer accounts to the supporting teamMeeting assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.Communicate prospect requirements to delivery teams so as to create appropriate solutions within budgetsPartnering with organizers and exhibitors through strategic and consultative sales approach to understand their business priorities, needs and strategies to deliver a value-add business solutionManaging customer relationships within acquired accounts to gain strategic positioning with decision makers to retain existing revenue and acquire additional businessDrive new business opportunities by attracting new customers and offering them additional value added services that the company can provideDiscuss budgets, pricing and contracts with the customers and service providers, proactively assessing, clarifying, and validating customer needs on an ongoing basisGathering business and industry intelligence by visiting other international venues and eventsMaximizing client business opportunities by leading solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel This is an exciting role for the right person, who likes a large proactive company environment and who understands the international exhibition industry.
