Job Description



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
Coordinating the location OI Managers/Location OI Coordinators. Managing the Country OI Top Page. Implementing Global OI and Local regulatory programs to assure compliance. Linking the Regional OI Strategy to the country and site activities assuring alignment. Ensure OI training is aligned with OIMS and local regulatory requirements and is conducted at site level. Ensure operational implementation of Global OIMS and local regulatory requirements through use of global assessment tools and auditing/assurance processes. Ensure effective integration of acquisitions regarding OI compliance through the mergers and acquisition process. Ensure reporting and management of OI related incidents, near misses, hazards and best practices in accordance with group expectations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES



Identify, plan, recommend and complete OI programs following the Global OI strategy and applicable business strategies. Align work with Region/ Sub-Regional and Site OI Coordinators and MD. Create and develop OI organization to implement the Regional OI strategy throughout the country. Develop competency of OI personnel through best practice sharing and implementation of applicable best practices from internal and external sources. Implement and assess the operational status of existing policies and country specific standards to assure compliance. Ensure audits are conducted to assess implementation of OI Programs and legal compliance with country specific standards regarding Health, Safety and the Environment. Provide OI support to sites and functions (e.g. Purchasing) during projects; (e.g. during site expansions, new construction, new equipment purchases, new processes etc.). Ensure timely reporting of OI relevant items including incidents, near misses, hazards and KPIs within the country using Crystal. Ensure country implementation of SGS wide OI activities including Safe Start, Stellar, Safety Month, Quarterly Campaigns, Best Practice Sharing, SGS Rules for Life, Stop Work Authority, BBS etc. and strategic planning. Provide Health, Safety and Environmental technical guidance to businesses and and country personnel to assure compliance with OIMS and Country regulatory requirements at the site level. Additional tasks can be assigned to the job holder to support the overall OI strategy.

Qualifications



Bachelors Degree or equivalent in an HSE related field. Minimum of 10 to 15 years experience in HSE. HSE certification preferred, NEBOSH & OSHA. In-depth knowledge in technical functions & activities (HSE specific) topics for all levels of personnel. Ability to understand the Country and site contributions to Regional OI Performance and capability to use existing tools; prioritizing risks and influencing factors. Ability to manage a remote team. Ability to influence without direct reporting lines. Ability to evaluate the accuracy of root cause analysis and the effectiveness of proposed solutions. Very Good English to communicate with the Regional OI Manager and to understand Global OI Communications. Translates Strategy into Actions – Effectively communicates strategy and action plans to others. Agrees on SMART targets/KPIs/objectives that are linked to the strategy.
