Job Description

Responsible for leading the management of all procurement activities, including procurement planning, strategic sourcing, contracts and tendering, and the daily procurement operations.ResponsibilitiesPerform the assigned duties as per the set policies and procedures to achieve the procurement department goals.Articulate, develop, and update the Procurement Department’s short-, medium- and long-term strategic goals in line with the plant's strategy; and lead their successful execution.Prepare and implement the annual Procurement Plan to support the overall strategic objectives of the company.Identify, design, and implement strategic procurement projects, as and when required.Prepare and manage the procurement Department budgets.Develop policies, procedures, business processes, and workflows, ensuring that they cover all Procurement activities.Manage, develop, evaluate, and lead the procurement team to execute the assigned tasks.Prepare instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.Develop a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilize appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepare market analysis reports.Manage all procurement transactions (low value, off contract, spot buys) including, administration orders, deliveries, logistics, and complaints.Identify new suppliers, and recruit and maintain suppliers that provide high-quality products and services at better prices while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.Analyze available suppliers within the market to select the most suitable suppliers who can deliver high-quality products at competitive pricing.Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and maintain supplier relationships.Design, implement, manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.RequirementsBachelor's degree in procurement, logistics, or any related field.8+ years of experience in a related field.CIPS Certified is an advantage.
