Head of Quality Assurance

Job Overview:As a Head of Quality Assurance, you will ensure top-notch product quality within our Engineering department. Our dedicated team has set high standards, established frameworks, and initiated test automation to streamline processes. Your role involves surpassing current standards, leading with people-driven leadership, fostering team growth, and owning QA department accountability.Responsibilities:Define the QA strategy and lead its execution, including recruitment, hands-on support for the team, and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and tools.Establish a robust Quality Assurance Practice that permeates our development and release processes, from inception to customer feedback.Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current practices and devise a strategy to enhance QA practices, incorporating automation seamlessly into our workflows.Foster a collaborative community within the QA team, nurturing talent from within the organization and facilitating professional growth.Collaborate closely with other technology leaders in software engineering, data science, data engineering, and tech ops to ensure quality is engineered into our products.Requirements:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.10+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or Head, with a track record of leading QA teams and defining QA policies and practices.Quality-first mindset with experience developing products for a global audience at scale.Strong ability to drive large-scale changes and proactive thinking.Excellent analytical thinking and interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Strong understanding of QA processes, tooling, performance, security, and automation.Proficiency in Robot Framework and familiarity with Selenium, Chrome Automation, SAHI, SOA Test, Jenkins, TestNG, among other tools.Knowledge of JIRA and Atlassian, with experience in Infrastructure-as-Code and AWS services being a plus.Budget management experience with over 4 years of managing QA teams.Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
