Regulatory Compliance & Reporting Senior/Lead

Job Description:All regulatory compliance and reporting activities, to plan, organize, and carry out the reporting function including the preparation of a regulatory manual and regulatory plan.Conducts regular compliance assessments and reviews to mitigate the compliance of departments and individual employees.All regulatory compliance and reporting activities, to plan, organize, and carry out the reporting function including the preparation of a regulatory manual and regulatory plan.Conducts regular compliance assessments and reviews to mitigate the compliance of departments and individual employees.Conduct a risk assessment of all departments, report risk management issues and regulatory controls deficiencies identified directly to the VP of Risk- Regulation & Compliance and CEO, and provide recommendations for improving the organization’s operations.Submit regulatory updates, full reports, or executive summaries to the VP of Risk- Regulation & Compliance and CEO.Provide support to the company’s anti-fraud programs. Follow-up the anti-fraud rules and revise them if needed.Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.Verify that all regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, communicated, and reported to the VP of Risk, Regulation & Compliance.Discuss emerging compliance issues to ensure that management is informed about compliance reporting systems, policies, and practices.Perform weekly, biweekly, and monthly regulatory reports for each country Tpay runs its business.Follow up on regulatory developments and inform the VP of Risk- Regulation & Compliance.Prepare NTRA letters for all commercial propositions ensuring market leadership.Ensure compliance with license & subsequent agreements while introducing commercial tariffs & promotions.Advise internal stakeholders on potential competitive Products & Services launches.Follow up on regulatory developments and inform the Senior Regulatory, Licensing & Governance Relationship Manager and VP of Risk, Regulation & Compliance.Ensure compliance with the CBE & NTRA regulations while introducing E-Commerce tariffs & promotions.Advise internal stakeholders on potential E-Commerce launches.Inform the Senior Regulatory, Licensing & Governance Relationship Manager and VP of Risk, Regulation & Compliance.Value Added Services RegulationWork closely with all departments to ensure that VAS regulations are in place.Work closely with all internal stakeholders while regulating TPAY short codes.Prepare the Reports for the NTRAInform the Senior Regulatory, Licensing & Governance Relationship Manager and VP of Risk, Regulation & Compliance.Raffles Management & Approvals with the Ministry of Social SolidarityPreparing the Raffles letters for the MOSSLeading the concerned departments to finalize all required documents for the Raffles approvals.Managing the raffles committee for the winner’s selection.Delivering the prizes to the winners.Inform the Senior Regulatory, Licensing & Governance Relationship Manager and VP of Risk, Regulation & Compliance.Compliance and KYC ProcessEnsure full compliance to all telecom regulations, telecom statutes, NTRA standards, industry standards and TPAY group policies.Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically.Conducting Due Diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) research for new and existing Merchants.Reviewing client documentation, vendor databases, and data entered proprietary.Maintain detailed records on merchants for second-level reviewMeeting production target volumes and dates as advised.Identify and resolve or escalate, as appropriate, any issues in relation to the onboarding process.Inform the Senior Regulatory, Licensing & Governance Relationship Manager and VP of Risk, Regulation & Compliance.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.Minimum of 4-7 years experience in a related field.Telecommunication sector backgroundCPA/CIA certification preferredExperience in writing internal policies and procedures and process evaluation and documentationA demonstrated knowledge of regulatory controlsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong analytical skills. Detail-oriented and able to work and interpret figures and other financial information.Strong written and oral communication skillsAbility to address issues and effect changeAbility to demonstrate a professional and objective perspective at all timesExcellent commercial and financial awareness.Ability to sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with internal colleagues and peer organizations.
