Finance Officer - Taxation, Mediclinic Middle East, Dubai

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax return and related reports quarterly in accordance with Tax laws, including monthly general ledger transactions, management reporting and annual statutory reporting in line with company and IFRS standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASTo prepare and review periodic VAT reports for VAT return purposeProvide general assistance and guidance on relevant tax rules, including the updating of VAT registrations in FTA portalTo monitor and manage accurate processing and recording of day to day expenses for allocated business unitsTo monitor and manage financial transactions related to fixed asset movements between business units REQUIRED EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce or Accounting from an accredited institutionREQUIRED EXPERIENCEAt least 3 years’ experience in a financial accounting environment Must have experience in working with UAE VAT and corporate tax rulesMust have experience in preparing tax return and related reports quarterly in accordance with Tax laws, including monthly general ledger transactions, management reporting and annual statutory reporting.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEApplication of sound budgeting and financial planning and management principlesComputer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applicationsFinancial systems (SAP, HIS)Knowledge of Funders and related processes and rulesRisk management principles, systems and best practiceVAT regulationsVerbal and written communication skills in EnglishSAP Financial modulesAll applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given to the designated groups in accordance with the United Arab Emirates Emiratization Program.
