GENERAL INFORMATION Job Title: Strategic Projects & TQM Sections ManagerFunction: Ground Handling Department: Strategic ProjectsREPORTING AND INTERACTION LINES Reports to:· Station DirectorSupervises: TQM Senior Specialist \ TQM SpecialistTraining Senior Specialist \ Training SpecialistSafety and Security Senior Specialist \ Safety and Security SpecialistJOB DESCRIPTION ROLE PURPOSEThe role holder is responsible for ensuring effective management and execution of Strategic projects and initiatives identified by relevant airport director. The role holder is also responsible to oversee Total Quality Management activities to ensure compliance of the relevant station with all standard of Safety, Quality and Security as per customer airlines, national and international regulator.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESStrategicDevelops,Implement and direct Strategic Projects & TQM sectional strategy and ensure it aligned with overall relevant station strategy.Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Strategic Projects & TQM processes and practices considering, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.Oversee the management of safety and security programs and related activities, ensuring compliance with government, airport authority, GACA and company policies.OperationalOversee the coordinated plans and implementation of Relevant station Work Programs and medium to long range initiatives responding to the needs of the station director or direct manager, major opportunities, and other policy and operational issues.Attain new and innovative methods to help in enhancing the workflow and identify any current gaps to deliver efficient results and measurable projects.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective implementation of strategic planning, results-based management systems and processes.Working closely with division heads, to facilitate the translation of relevant decisions related to SGS Strategic Plan and other policy intents into viable integrated tasks and priorities.Analyse information, reports, and documents to determine new trends which will impact on the strategic interests of the Relevant station.Provide input on appropriate cost-effective methods to enhance or replace current processes, thereby optimizing SGS’s project life cycle cost and operability.Evaluate project successes and document lessons learned to ensure that best practice can be implemented in future initiatives.Act as an advisor to actively support Business Unit managers and other division heads in achieving their responsibilities in respect of managing safety, Quality, and security.Develop and enhance appropriate and effective safety, quality, and security systems, including adequate controls and protocols to ensure all operations remain fully compliant with all relevant industry regulatory and country specific legislation requirements.Fostering and maintaining key stakeholder relationships with the relevant airline and airport operations management / GACA.Oversee the Root Cause and Corrective Action / Implementation from the concern department.Ensures the validation of the feedback received from the concerned departments regarding Customer complaint and Audits finding to be closed properly.Liaise with concerned stakeholders for IATA Station, local authorities, GACA Audits and Third-Party Audits.Oversee and review major events related to TQM function to ensure appropriate action is taken.People ManagementManage the Strategic Projects & TQM Team in promoting and embedding a flexible, customer focused culture and continuous improvement of service delivery.Establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) to measure the staff performance and make the appraisal assessments when it is needed.Ensure all Safety and Security staff are trained according to their training matrix and functions.JOB REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education RequiredMinimum of a bachelor’s degree Engineering, Preferable IndustrialMBA or Master's in a relevant field is a plusProfessional Certifications Required· SMS, QMS, Root cause analysis is a Plus.EXPERIENCE Years of experience· Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial roleLANGUAGES Language Proficiency English LevelAdvancedCOMPETENCIES:Leadership Competencies1 Results Driven: Consistently achieving results even under tough circumstances, ensuring strategic goals are met2 Respectful & Mindful: Creating a culture where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives3 Innovative: Operating effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear4 Nurtures Talent: Developing people to meet both their career goals and the organization’s goalsCore Competencies:1 Customer Centric: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions2 Takes Initiative: Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm3 Accountable: Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments4 Collaborative: Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives5 Communicative: Developing and delivering effective communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences6 Trustworthy: Gaining the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
