Job Description

The Senior maintenance & Acceptance Engineer’s job is mainly to plan, schedule, and ensure execution of daily, weekly and monthly activities to ensure smooth operations of a solar power plant. The O&M Engineer takes the responsibility of monitoring the performance of the solar power plants on a day-to-day basis and must be available for immediate field trips in case of any fault recovery.

Job Description 
The maintenance & Acceptance Engineer’s job will predominantly revolve around the following responsibilities:
 

  • Making improvements to, and offering advice about, operational procedures
  • Regular monitoring and inspection 
  • Preventive and Corrective maintenance Co-ordinate with OEM vendors for equipment maintenance
  • Plan, schedule and ensure execution of daily, weekly and monthly activities to ensure smooth operations of a solar power plant. 
  • Takes the responsibility of monitoring the performance of solar power plants on a day-to-day basis and must be available for immediate field trips in case of any fault recovery
  • Regular monitoring and inspection
  • Preventive and Corrective maintenance
  • Travel to project sites and vendor locations as assigned to perform all aspects of on-site installation, repair, maintenance, oversight, and modifications as required
  • Provide timely written review reports from field operation, status, feedback as requested.
  • Inspecting equipment and conducting routine maintenance.
  • Servicing and replacing old or faulty equipment.
  • Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Responding to customer call-outs.
  • Adhering to all safety and performance regulations.
  • ensuring that, systems, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
  • Traveling to client locations for equipment inspection.
  • conducting and overseeing maintenance process audits diagnosing faults
  • put maintenance plans for the sites and follow up.
  • undertaking planned maintenance
  • establishing different maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • training technicians on equipment operating and maintenance procedures
  • responding to major equipment breakdowns
  • forecasting and strategic planning for system overhauls and upgrades, while taking into account long-term maintenance costs.
  • supervising other engineering and technical staff
  • procuring, testing, and commissioning specialist components, fixtures, or fittings.
  • working with the maintenance director and other executives to manage budgets.
  • setting and tracking maintenance KPIs.
  • playing an active role in helping the organization set up and execute preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, or any other preferred maintenance program.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Proven work experience as a maintenance engineer.
  • Knowledge of EPA and OSHA guidelines.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
  • Ability to read system schematics.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of safety and equipment procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good Leadership skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and initiative.
  • Very good technical experience.
  • Experience in maintenance and facility management
