Job Description
- Lead the design, review, and approval of ICT/ELV systems (Data, CCTV, Access Control, IPTV, IP telephone, Public Address, Audio visual, parking management, Intercom, Fire Alarm, Public address, BMS, BAS, Structured Cabling, ICT Infrastructure, etc.).
- Prepare, review, and validate ICT shop drawings, schematics, and system architectures in coordination with electrical, mechanical, and architectural disciplines.
- Ensure ICT systems comply with project specifications, international standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, ISO/IEC, NFPA, etc.), and client requirements.
- Review and approve Material submittals (MARs), vendor datasheets, and compliance statements.
- Manage and coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth progress and resolution of technical issues.
- Support for site activities from technical perspective such as inspections, testing & commissioning (T&C), and ensure systems integration in line with the Cause & Effect Matrix and life-safety or civil defense requirements.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, construction, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues and ensure constructability.
- Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, Intermediate engineers and draftsmen in preparing shop drawings, submittals, and as-built documentation.
- Conduct design verification and value engineering to optimize ICT systems in terms of cost, efficiency, and performance.
- Supervise the preparation of BOQs, technical proposals, and quantity take-offs for ICT/ELV systems.
- Ensure ICT systems are properly integrated with mechanical (HVAC, Fire Fighting) and electrical (MCC, MDB, UPS) systems.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, compliance matrices, and progress updates to management and clients.
- Support in resolving consultant/client comments and ensure timely resubmission and approvals.
- Stay updated on the latest ICT technologies, vendor solutions, and best practices to provide value engineering and optimized system designs.
- Mentor and coach junior and intermediate staff to improve Revit modeling, detailing, and coordination skills.
- Provide progress reports, technical presentations, and updates to the head of the discipline.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in ICT engineering, with a proven track record in large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-level networks, servers, and communication systems.
- Strong knowledge of ICT security principles, protocols, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and project reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
