Job Description

Main Tasks:

  • Process Design and Improvement: Analyze existing manufacturing processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Develop and implement optimized processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning to ensure manufacturing resources are utilized effectively and can meet production demands. Develop and implement strategies to balance workloads and optimize resource allocation.
  • Workforce Management: Develop and implement workforce management strategies, including labor utilization, work schedules, and staffing levels, to ensure efficient and effective production operations.
  • Quality Control: Design and implement quality control systems to monitor and improve product quality. Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Production Planning: Assist in developing production plans and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective manufacturing. Coordinate with production, supply chain, and logistics teams to align production activities with overall business goals.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency. Conduct training and workshops to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Facility Layout: Design and optimize facility layouts to improve workflow, reduce material handling, and enhance overall efficiency. Develop detailed layout plans and coordinate with relevant teams to implement changes.
  • Automation: Evaluate and implement automation technologies to improve manufacturing processes and reduce manual labor. Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate automation solutions.
  • Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives to improve profitability. Analyze production costs and develop strategies to minimize expenses without compromising quality.
  • Safety: Ensure manufacturing processes and systems comply with safety regulations and standards. Develop and implement safety procedures and conduct regular safety audits.
  • Project Management: Manage engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet performance expectations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, measure performance, and inform decision-making. Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Sustainability: Develop and implement sustainable manufacturing practices to reduce environmental impact and promote resource efficiency. Monitor and report on sustainability metrics.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Production Efficiency: Measure the overall efficiency of manufacturing processes, including cycle time, throughput, and downtime.
  • Quality Metrics: Track product quality metrics, such as defect rates, rework rates, and customer complaints.
  • Cost Savings: Monitor cost reduction initiatives and measure the financial impact of implemented improvements.
  • Safety Compliance: Assess compliance with safety regulations and the effectiveness of safety procedures.
  • Project Completion: Measure the percentage of engineering projects completed on time and within budget.

Within the Organization:

  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, logistics, quality control, and other departments to ensure alignment of engineering activities with business goals.
  • Work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives and improvement projects.

With External Parties:

  • Engage with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions.
  • Network with industry professionals and participate in industry events to stay informed about market trends and best practices.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferably graduates from an American university in Cairo. (AUC)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.


  • Strong understanding of industrial engineering principles, methods, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as CAD, simulation software, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Project management abilities, with experience in managing cross-functional projects.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies and their application in manufacturing.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.


  • Working Conditions: Combination of office-based work and on-site work in manufacturing facilities. May require occasional travel for meetings, site visits, and industry events.
  • Physical Efforts: Requires physical fitness and the ability to conduct on-site evaluations and audits.
  • Other Requirements: Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality work and achieving business objectives. High level of integrity and ethical standards in conducting engineering activities.
