Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, Cash flow and other statements.
- Secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Monitors expenditures to assure that the department remains within the budget.
- Prepares various reports and studies
- Assists in the formulation of the department's budget in compliance with applicable budget policy and guidelines.
- Advises department head and managers on the use and source of funds.
- Supervises the departmental accounting function and coordinates the completion of periodic financial statements and record-keeping.

Job Requirements
- Experience level: 5 years of Accounting experience
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP, AX, Odoo)
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required
