- A major digital printing company requires:
- Senior Maintenance Engineer with experience in digital printing machines.
- Job Summary:
- Responsible for effectively planning and implementing all Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Repairs and up keep activities for the entire Digital Printing department equipment. The primary purpose of this position is to manage and support all maintenance, repairs, upgrades and technological improvement aspects of all of the Digital Printing department equipment.
- General Purpose of the Job:
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot digital printing equipment with associated software packages.
- Perform sScheduled preventive maintenance
- Responsible for the general maintenance, up keep and repair of all printers.
- Determines priorities, coordinates and implements, cost reduction projects, maintenance and
- Repairs of this equipment: maintains detailed documentation as required.
- Determines priorities, coordinates and implements with the machine repair/ replacement requirements and preventative maintenance schedules: maintains detailed documentation as required.
- Develop trained and skilled staff in all areas of this responsibility.
- Assist in developing trained and skilled operators with knowledge of the positive and negative effects that they can have on this equipment.
- Personally implements or supervises that Machine Maintenance Functions of this equipment.
- Develop and maintain a reliable source of external providers for Electrical, Pneumatic,
- Hydraulic, Machining, etc. needs when required.
- Develop and maintain suitable purchasing arrangements for commodities required for
- maintenance and repair of this equipment.
- Receive price quotations and evaluate competitive products for desirability and use in areas responsibility.
- To coordinate all aspects of Health, Safety and Fire Safety in the area of responsibility.
- Actively seek to determine internal and external customer requirements in area of responsibility.
- Develop and maintain an on- hand maintenance/ replacement parts system.
- Develop and maintain an on- hand maintenance/ replacement parts storage system.
Job Requirements
- Required Education, Certification, and Training:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferred electrical or mechanical engineering
- Required years of experience:
- Ten or more years of experience in all of the mentioned fields, in addition to professional
- Direct experience in maintenance of digital printing machines.
