Job Description

  • Manage end to end supply chain process for pharmaceutical, nutrition products.
  • Receive and review purchase requisitions items description , required quantity and required delivery date .
  • Initiates, negotiates and executes POs and contracts with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
  • Ensures deals are closed for all POs and contracts in accordance with legal regulations and Mersal's standards to avoid future legal implications and business interruptions
  • Preparing and follow up the approving of purchase orders from concerned departments and ensuring the purchase orders are provided in the right place, in the required quantity, in the right quality and on time.
  • Communicating with suppliers regarding purchase orders deliveries and following up delivery of purchase orders until the delivery is complete.
  • Daily follow-up for all shipments Ensure that suppliers deliver on time and resolve issues with suppliers when shipments delayed.
  • Prepares departmental reports of Procurement timely and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
  • Receiving and revising shipping documents of each shipment and make sure it matches the order requirements.
  • Preparing import approval papers according to Egyptian Drug Authorities requirements.
  • Oversees and manages alternative second souring plan for key items to maintain business continuity, price competitiveness and avoid unforeseen business interruptions
  • Manages overall Supplier relationships including performance and quality reviews to improve on performance, roadmap alignment, risk mitigation & cost and quality.
  • Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • Proven working experience as Purchasing Manager, Agent or Officer
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
  • A knack for negotiation and networking
  • Working experience of vendor management software
  • Ability to gather and analyse data and to work with figures
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities
