Job Description
The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading and overseeing all the financial functions. This includes strategic planning, financial forecasting, managing budgets, risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The CFO will provide insights and recommendations to support growth, investment decisions, and the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
• Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Advise the CEO and board of directors on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and investment priorities.
• Evaluate and structure real estate deals, acquisitions, and capital projects.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
• Lead financial forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis across all real estate portfolios (commercial, residential, development).
• Analyze market trends to position the company for future success and growth.
Accounting & Reporting:
• Oversee accounting, tax, audit, and internal controls.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with local and international standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Capital & Investment Management:
• Develop capital allocation strategies, including equity, debt financing, and joint ventures.
• Maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
• Optimize the capital structure to support growth while managing financial risk.
Operational Oversight:
• Implement systems, processes, and policies to improve financial efficiency and transparency.
• Oversee budgets for property development, maintenance, leasing, and acquisitions.
• Manage payroll, procurement, and financial IT systems.
Risk Management & Compliance:
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee insurance, audits, and corporate governance functions.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in the real estate sector.
• Strong knowledge of real estate finance, development cycles, and investment structures.
• Proven experience in capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
• High proficiency with financial modeling tools, ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, SAP, Oracle), and MS Excel.
