Job Description
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
- Ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and dispute resolutions.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Advise management on potential legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address legal issues and support business objectives.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee outsourced legal matters.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on legal topics and compliance requirements to staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate governance policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from an accredited university.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Legal Counsel, preferably in a corporate or in-house environment.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting and negotiating contracts and legal documents.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and the use of legal databases.
