Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for finalizing and following up on the purchases and deals with suppliers, making sure that IDH supplies are delivered on the same time and to the right site as well as ensuring that vendors and suppliers receive all financial dues after confirmation.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists the planning manager in finalize the financial dues of vendors with the finance Department.
  • Prepares a report including the status of pending orders with the suppliers and expected delivery date.
  • Purchases the materials and components with pre settled and determined specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Ensures with warehouse the status of ordered purchases and supplies. 
  • Updates MRP system with correct prices and accurate data about vendors to have a up to date vendors data base, purchased products, delivery information and invoices for the ease of future orders. 
  • Handles the purchasing requisition and creates purchasing orders with all details and communicate it to suppliers. 
  • Builds, maintains and manages supplier relationships and keeps up good communications to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues. 
  • Reviews the Purchasing order on MRP system prior receiving the shipment in warehouse. 
  • Works with the team members to develop future purchasing plans and source potential relationships with other vendors. 
  • Updates planning manager with any issues, concerns with the suppliers which may impact the business operations with concerned vendors. 
  • Coordinates with planning team and follows up on any delays or rescheduled orders, and co-ordinates with the planners the priority of supplying and push risky items for urgent delivery. 
  • Prepares and finalizes all customs clearance requirements i.e., documents and approvals needed from ministry of health. 
  • Tracks urgent and critical shipments and communicates with customs clearance authority for clearance process.

 

Job Requirements

  • Good negotiation and communication skills.
  • Good English language proficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
  • From 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain.
