Job Description
- Prepare accurate bills of quantity (BOQ) based on project specifications & drawings for interior fit out, decoration, furniture and Joinery work projects.
- Prepare accurate bills of Material (BOM) based on project specifications & drawings for interior fit out, decoration, furniture and Joinery work projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior, fit out, Furniture and joinery works projects, considering all relevant factors and potential risks.
- coordinate with head office and factory in UAE and all relevant departments to obtain or provide the needed data (g. quantity take-offs) for correct and accurate charge of payment amounts and/or for issuing the invoices.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, engineers and contractors to ensure accurate and comprehensive cost assessments.
- Follow-up with Head office teams the procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, tracking any deviations and providing proactive solutions.
- Prepare progress reports, valuations, and financial forecasts for ongoing projects.
- Manage variations and change orders, ensuring proper documentation and cost control.
- Provide expert advice on cost-effective production methods, materials, and techniques.
- Support Technical Office Engineer in shop drawings for all projects (whenever needed).
- Undertake breakdown of Variation Orders (VOs).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior, Architectural, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 8 -12 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the interior fit out, decoration and wooden works industry, with at least [5] years as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Demonstrated experience in accurately preparing bills of quantity (BOQ) & Bills of Material (BOM)
- Proven Technical Experience in related fit-out and joinery projects
- In-depth knowledge of fit-out contracts, methods, and regulations.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form.
- Nearby residence of Nasr city Cairo is preferable.
