Job Description
Planning
- Creating and implementing a visual merchandising strategy for the stores with your team.
- Producing design ideas for displays and developing floor plans, or following a company plan
- Creating special displays to promote a specific product or offer
- Drawing designs and plans by hand or computer
- Deciding how to use space and lighting creatively
- Making best use of a store's space and layout
- Giving feedback to head office and buying teams
Implementing
- Setting up displays
- Sourcing display materials and purchasing, borrowing or making props
- Teaching sales staff how goods should be displayed.
- Setting up special displays for events
- Perform store checks. Checking display, lighting, maintenance etc.
- Sharing tasks as appropriate based on store checks
- Execute all design aspects showcase in showroom, meetings and online photographs.
- Develop a training program that helps store employees maintain the visual standards set forth in the visual manager’s strategy.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to take part in the physical aspects of creating window displays and special displays
- Being crafty is a must
- Degree in applied arts, fine arts or equivalents with focus on interior decor.
- Proficient in Autocad, Sketchup and Revit
- Aware of the market & competition
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite
- Applicants with own cars preferred
