Job Description
Job Purpose:
You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, and ensuring data accuracy as well fixed assets tracking and accurate posting on the ERP. Own the tax calculation, claims and submission.
What do we expect from you:
1. Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for booking all general ledger transactions and allocate the same through cost / profit center & ensure all entries are posted correctly.
- Prepare and review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
- Analyze and interpret financial information and provide assurance that information complies with professional and regulatory standards.
- Ensure that data supports budgeting and forecasting requirements, and provide solutions to control issues
- Review and monitor accounts payables and receivables sub ledger details and aging
- Assist in finalizing the trial balance issuance and monthly closing activities
- Responsible for arranging monthly & quarterly tax returns and present it to the accounting manager before proceeding and payment settlement
- Prepare annual tax reconciliation reports and arrange documentation for tax examination
- Follow-up tax correspondence
- Review periodical tax reconciliation with tax authority.
- Ensure payments of all kinds of taxes in the deadlines and as per the associated legal forms to avoid any penalties
- Prepare & confirm accounts reconciliations with related parties: owning and managing companies
- Responsible for the fixed assets module (Addition/retirement and depreciation calculation).
- Supervise E-invoices submission.
- Review payroll journal entry.
- Review employees custodies and loans to be settled on time
2. Health and Safety:
- Strictly adhere to the HSE instructions
3. Reporting:
- Trial balance
- Tax reconciliation
- Assist in the financial statement preparation
4. Continuous improvement:
- Stay up to date with the tax laws and regulations
- Analyze and highlight risks and or opportunities
Job Requirements
What do you need to perform your role:
To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:
Education and experience:
- Bachelor Degree in a relevant in commerce / accounting
- Minimum 5 years experience
Skills and knowledge:
- IFRS knowledge
- Full knowledge of taxes laws
- High accuracy and eye for details
- Very Good command in English language.
- Time management skills
- ERP user. Odoo is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel
