Software Quality Control Team Leader

Job Summary:

• Develop and lead the Software Quality Control team, process, projects, and documentation

Responsibilities:

• Develop departmental policies and standard operating procedures as needed to effectively execute the principles and responsibilities of software quality control
• Leading a team of professional QC engineers throughout the whole SDLC to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Define test methods, create test plans for new or updated software projects and monitor the systems’ performance to determine if the software will perform accurately and reliably according to documented requirements
• Lead the Quality Control team and coordinate their daily activities to ensure optimum planning of resources and a fully-motivated, competent workforce
• Guide and monitor the analysis, design, and execution of the test cases and test suites and assist in generating the use cases to ensure that all functional requirements of a system are captured during the product design phase
• Ensure several quality improvement tools like code coverage, Linting, and code standards frameworks, and recommend improvements to developers throughout the development process
• Create strategies to mitigate risks and take the necessary measures to control the risks
• Create test reports to summarize project status
• Supervise and control the execution of project/product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates.
• Perform inspection reviews for project/product Requirements and Specification deliverables.
• Develop Test Plan based on company Test Strategy and project/product nature.
• Provide the project/product estimates.
• Develop, document, and maintain different types of Test Cases and Test Data.
• Perform the different Test Types required by the project/product requirements.
• Report the found defects using the available Defect Management software.
• Understand Quality procedures and documentation and adhere to them
• Recommend improvements
• Recommend KPI’s/OKRs for the team
• Identify any training requirements for themselves and the team
• Provide the required support at User Acceptance Test and Production time for clients.
• Provide the Management with suitable status reports for projects/products issues and escalate the bad Quality of the interdepartmental deliverables and final releases to the Management.
• Responsible for conducting the required training, coaching, and awareness sessions for the new QC Team members.
• Help in suggesting ongoing quality improvements for the settled processes and implementing them.
• Directly supervises Test Engineers and their activities during the project/product.
• They will be expected to carry out other duties as required
• Ensure utilization of Inspection resources is effective and efficient to target daily workload
