Job Description
- Develops annual maintenance cost forecasting according to maintenance needs, using all the necessary tools that will enable the most effective cost estimation and control, thus assisting in the accurate formulation of the department’s budget.
- Follows up and controls all maintenance activities in order to identify compliance to budget, providing the necessary information to management
- Analyses the expressed maintenance needs of the plant and prepares the maintenance schedule/plan that fits and responds to the operational needs of the company, utilizing the resources in the most efficient manner
- Prepares studies on recurring problems of equipment reliability or problems relating to safety and work conditions, to provide analysis to the management that will facilitate the selection of the necessary corrective and proactive activities
- According to maintenance needs and requirements, draw up the spare parts specifications, communicating all the necessary information to the purchasing department, thus assisting in the reduction of the spare part inventory level
- Follows up and reviews all spare parts purchasing orders, to ensure their accurate execution and availability when needed
- Prepares, with the assistance of the production units, weekly mechanical and electrical maintenance programs, annual shutdowns, inspection, and lubrication plans, contributing to the smooth operation of the plant
- Develops the computer maintenance management system (CMMS) and ensures that the maintenance practices comply with QA standards
- Conducts, in cooperation with all maintenance departments, on-the-job training or workshop courses, to enhance the technical knowledge and expertise of all maintenance personnel
- Analyses the feedback received after each maintenance activity, to develop the appropriate reporting towards his supervisor and adjust the maintenance schedule accordingly
- Participates and conducts team meetings with own team and/or other plant members, in order to achieve a high level of communication and cooperation
- Proceeds to evaluations of deliverables from maintenance sub-contractors, retrieving the necessary information from all relevant departments, to assist in the selection of the most efficient providers
- Ensures that the ADAP database is updated regularly, supporting the most efficient observation of maintenance activities
- Motivates develops, and manages his team in a way that ensures a high level of initiative, cooperation, and personal development opportunities
- Ensures that safe work rules and practices are understood, implemented, and consistently followed by the Maintenance department employees and subcontractors
Job Requirements
- University degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably at a postgraduate level
- 5 years of relevant work experience within a large industrial organisation, preferably from the cement industry
Technical Skills
- Very good knowledge of cement products and cement production processes
- Very good knowledge of mechanical engineering and industrial automation
- Experience in maintenance activities planning or execution within large industrial organizations
- Analytical and conceptual thinking
