Job Description
- Provides legal assistance and advice by providing the specialist support required to identify the most appropriate contractual/technical solutions, and in particular, assist the Company regarding legal problems associated with the drawing up of contract negotiation documents;
- Manages and Co-ordinates the Company and its Subsidiaries in the proceeding pertaining to activities abroad, in compliance with defined Company criteria, and where necessary, seeking external contracts/legal advice;
- Provides the necessary assistance to the relatives Company Departments regarding the stipulation of Contracts with Clients and Suppliers;
- Ensure that commercial resources are adequate for successful delivery of the project.
- Develop & manage a strategic contract that reflects customer’s needs and take account of legalization, Health & Safety, fraud prevention, sustainability and workforce issues.
- Ensure other contractual obligations are fulfilled, including Health & Safety and sustainability.
- Maintain and manage project risk registers to ensure early identification of risks and ensure that contingencies are in place to manage and minimize the risks.
- Implement and comply fully with The company Commercial Procedures at site level.
- Ensure that project teams have a good commercial understanding and focus, giving the appropriate motivation and leading by personal example.
- Manage the timely procurement of subcontractors.
- To take ownership of Objectives set by Management / Department Head.
- To support the Head of Commercial in the development & implementation of the supplier performance & contract management strategy.
- Contribute to budget preparation of Commercial Department.
- Deliver optimum performance levels for major service contracts with in the contracts portfolio.
- Manage the prompt preparation of variations, claims and disputes.
- Manage, control and provide work guidance to assigned personnel, promote knowledge sharing and learning and development of team who are able to think out of the box.
- Provide expert advice to departments on relevant contracts, in compliance with appropriate legislation, budgets,
- professional standards and the Company vision and values.
- Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract.
- Responsible for developing and managing strategic contracts in accordance with the company vision, policies, governance arrangement and values.
- Support the business continuity planning by providing expert advice on complex contracts & guidance, recommendations and strategies on contract management and administration of best practice. Where required.
- Develop close working relationship with the company Legal services department regarding all matters relating to contractual terms and conditions, new legislation and other relevant legal matters.
- Provide leadership and guidance towards all team members for collective goal.
- Promote and ensure compliance with Organization’s Health & Safety policies.

Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications & Certifications;
- Master’s or Bachelor Degree & or Diploma in Commercial/Law or Equivalent Professional qualification & Experience.
- Certification / Membership: Attainment of Professional Qualifications RICS, CIOB, ICES or similar.

- Contract and Procurement administration
- In depth Knowledge & Experience in dealing with high Value & Complex Tenders
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating, executing, and managing contracts / service agreements
- Change management experience implementing strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives
- Experience preparing specifications and analyzing bids
Industry related experience
- Dredging - preferred
- Marine Construction
