Senior Accountant

A Medium Size Construction & Trading company in Nasr City is looking to hire a “Senior Accounting” for our business inside Egypt. 

As “Senior Accounting” is a mid-level professional who will supervise, track and evaluate the day-to-day activities including establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting information.

He will oversee the company’s accounting department, take ownership for every aspect that goes into producing an organization's report, from cost-productivity and margins all the way down to expenditures.

Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of accountants or junior accountants.

Job Duties:

• Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
• Provide input into department’s goal setting process
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
