We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Tendering Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful submission of competitive and compelling bids for high-value projects and tenders.
Key Responsibilities
- Tender Preparation: Review, prepare, and manage tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates for projects, coordinating with relevant departments to gather essential data for material, labor, and time requirements.
- Bid Strategy: Assist in formulating competitive bid strategies in alignment with company objectives, market trends, and client needs.
- Technical and Commercial Analysis: Evaluate the technical and commercial aspects of tenders, ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand project scopes, clarify requirements, and address technical queries in a timely manner.
- Documentation and Submission: Prepare, review, and submit all required tender documentation, including technical proposals, price schedules, and compliance statements, adhering to deadlines.
- Post-Tender Evaluation: Conduct debriefing sessions for won/lost tenders, analyzing performance to improve future bids and refining tendering processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, technical, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate and well-supported tenders.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or a similar technical discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in tendering, cost estimation, or proposal development, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes, contract terms, and industry standards in oil and gas.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant software for tendering and cost estimation.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental requirements in oil and gas is an advantage.
