Suez Cement Group is looking for a Mechanical Site Manager. You will directly report to Project site Manager (Execution) / Plant Manager (Operation) and will be located in Helwan Plant, South Cairo. At the moment of the project handover to operation and according to the shown experience and performance, it will be decided the possibility to participate the operation team.
For the project phase from mid-June 2022 till the issuance of the project acceptance certificate 7-9 months (on project contract) with opportunity to move to the operation team on full time employment contract.
Responsibilities:
Project Phase
- Review and approve the WHR Power plant / Layout engineering documents and construction documents
- Review the proposed mechanical subcontractors from the main contractor and approve the capabilities and safety aspects to participate in the project
- Managing a team of mechanical site engineers and assure their performance and workload distribution according to the project schedule
- Project Scheduling and Monitoring. Find ways for anticipation of site activities and assure the corresponding plans are on place.
- Leading the Mechanical erection of WHR Power Plant and understanding of site safety requirements
- Compliance of authorities’ regulations in installation of power plant equipment
- Co-ordinate all project related site activity and with vendors/contractors etc.
- Execute the Project as per the execution plan
- Checking and approving the contractor’s bills
- Quality inspection at site and vendors works
- Handle the task force & co-ordinate with lead engineers of various disciplines (internal/external)
- Conduct commissioning, performance tests of major equipment such as Boiler, Turbine, Condenser, and Cooling tower, DM Plant etc. and take over the WHR Power Plant for operations
- Daily and weekly reporting to the project site manager.
Plant Operations
- Operation and Maintenance safety requirements
- Implementation and maintain of a Reliability Centered Maintenance system
- Improvement in the reliability, availability, and maintainability for all pieces of equipment
- Planning, scheduling and execution of the Shut Down activity
- Predictive and preventive maintenance plan in SAP-PM. Preventive maintenance plan elaboration and improvements for the spare parts from the Warehouse in cooperation with the planner.
- Mechanical Spare parts planning
- Participate the stoppage analysis and related RCFAs.
- Exploring better maintenance technologies and methods in order to improve the reliability and reduce the maintenance costs and repair procedure’s improvements accordingly.
- Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and decisions in cooperation with the inspectors and Production Department
- Creating and updating a formal Critical Condition Levels system for major pieces of equipment
- Providing training to the workers for the new pieces of equipment
- Responsible for updating the technical drawings
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 15 yrs. Experience
- Experience in Engineering and Installation of Power Plants/process plants is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, problem solving and creativity, decision making process in teamwork
- Fluency in English
