Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Provide strategic oversight and direction to the video editing team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and clients' guidelines.
- Effectively delegate tasks based on team members' expertise, capacity, and workload requirements.
- Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, mentorship, and regular performance evaluations.
- Manage team dynamics, proactively addressing challenges to maintain a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Project & Workflow Management
- Drive end-to-end project execution, ensuring efficient planning, resource allocation, and adherence to deadlines.
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact between leadership, and the video editing team, ensuring seamless communication and expectation management.
- Provide timely project updates, insights, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Creative & Strategic Direction
- Drive the creative vision, ensuring adherence to clients' standards and guidelines.
- Promote a culture of innovation by encouraging the exploration of emerging trends, tools, and techniques in video editing.
- Troubleshoot creative and technical challenges, offering strategic solutions to optimize output.
- Technical Expertise & Capability Development
- Ensure the team maintains proficiency in industry-standard video editing software and tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Stay ahead of industry advancements and assess opportunities to enhance technical workflows.
- Resource & Performance Optimization
- Strategically allocate resources to balance workload efficiency.
- Continuously refine workflows and processes to drive operational excellence.
- Training & Talent Development
- Design and implement targeted training programs to upskill team members and elevate overall team competency.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Data-Driven Insights & Reporting
- Leverage analytics to assess project performance, client feedback, and operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership with structured reports and actionable insights as per the company’s policies.
- Compliance, Data Security & Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, data security standards, GDPR regulations, and related protocols.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in video editing and production, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Advanced proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Knowledge of video formats, codecs, compression techniques, and file management best practices.
- Familiarity with project management tools and workflow automation.
- Strong leadership abilities and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to mentor, coach, develop high-performing teams, and foster collaboration across teams and departments.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and oversee multiple video projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address creative and technical challenges efficiently.
- Strong understanding of industry trends and emerging video technologies.
- Expertise in short-form video trends, including YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social media platforms, with a strong grasp of platform-specific editing styles, pacing, and audience engagement strategies.
- Ability to assess project performance using key metrics and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail in evaluating content quality, team efficiency, and client feedback.
- Ability to translate client requirements into actionable creative and technical briefs.
