Teaching Assistant

• To ensure the safety, security and well being of all the children at all times, whether they are part of your classroom or not.
• To be supportive and nurturing, ensuring you form a bond and connection with each child. 
• To only use positive discipline with the children. 
• To implement the school philosophies and policies regarding the education and emotional well being of the children.
• To set up the classroom and the different centres with age appropriate play invitations.
• To actively participate in team meetings.
• To provide the children with resources which are age appropriate, accessible to them, well maintained and regularly changed.
• To display your documentation and children’s work 
• To support your team leader
• To be willing and accepting of new challenges and to fill in wherever necessary.
• Your professional development is a cornerstone of your success in early years education. You need to strive to constantly develop yourself.
