Job Description
A senior React and React Native developer with a keen eye for design who will work on turning product requirements and UI designs into high-quality products. Write clear, maintainable code through the use of agile development standards and guidelines, make sure to deliver a performant and stable codebase.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design, implement, test, and maintain responsive user interfaces for web applications using React.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain user interfaces for mobile applications using React Native.
- Contribute to cycle pre-planning activities including feedback for design documentation, identifying the feasibility of work and code requirements, and sharing work items in progress.
- Take ownership of work items/deliverables assigned by: delivering clean code, testing/verifying code, building products within the given time frame, identifying risks and issues that could impact product delivery.
- Provide support to team members by participating in code reviews, assisting in maintaining systems once they are up and running, assisting in creating the system design and functional specifications as needed, identifying opportunities that can improve the efficiency of the team.
- Comply and assist in the upkeep of project standards, operations guides, and project tools.
- Create user interfaces that are consistent with other parts of the system, look good, and are easy and intuitive for users to understand.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in developing web applications using React.
- 3+ years of experience in developing mobile applications using React Native.
- Have an eye for good design, as well as implementing simple responsive designs that support complex requirements.
- 3+ years of experience with Bootstrap or another CSS framework.
- 2+ years of experience with SASS/SCSS.
- Experience with managing application state using Redux or another framework.
- 1+ years of experience using TypeScript.
- Experience in writing unit tests with tools such as Jest & React Testing library is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming.
- Good understanding of CI tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, GitHub actions, or AppCenter.
- Good understanding of Mocking API calls in Postman.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Familiar and comfortable using design tools such as Illustrator, Sketch, Zeplin, Figma, or similar is helpful.
- Experience with publishing mobile applications to the app stores.
- Experience with writing native mobile code is a plus.
- Experience with integrating services like Firebase cloud messaging (FCM).
- Very good written and spoken English.
