Job Description
Job Purpose:
Reviewing and editing all types of content for accuracy, clarity, and style, with a particular focus on Website copy
Responsibilities:
- Establishing relationships with writers, editors, and freelancers who will contribute to the content of the Website, whether internal or external contributors.
- Conducting research on topics related to the publication’s focus in order to create new content.
- Working with designers to create layouts that meet website publication standards while ensuring that text is legible and graphics are clear and attractive.
- Managing a team of editors who are responsible for reviewing and editing content submitted by freelance writers or staff members.
- Reviewing and approving all advertisements that will appear in the publication.
- Reviewing and selecting stories submitted by freelance writers for possible publication in the publication.
- Managing the publication’s budget, including expenditures for staff salaries, freelance fees, and other costs associated with producing an issue.
- Ensuring that the publication meets industry standards for legal issues such as copyright laws or libel laws.
- Occasionally writing copy for Arabic Media and assisting with Presidential Public Affairs where needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in any related discipline.
- Advanced written and verbal skills.
