Job Description
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and expenses to ensure they remain within approved limits.
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to track project progress and costs
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Review contracts, change orders, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making related to construction projects.
Job Requirements
- Work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
