Job Description

This role is responsible for managing project costs, developing cost control procedures, and providing accurate cost analysis and reporting. With extensive experience and expertise in project cost management, the Project Cost Control Manager plays a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget and optimizing cost efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement project cost control procedures, guidelines, and systems to monitor and control project expenses for the construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost control measures are integrated into project plans and schedules.
  • Define cost baselines, budgets, and forecasts for each project phase.
  • Track and monitor project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project-related expenses.
  • Analyze cost variances and deviations from budgeted costs.
  • Identify areas of potential cost savings and cost overruns.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Conduct cost analyses and assessments to identify cost drivers and trends.
  • Maintain cost control documentation, records, and databases.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial regulations related to cost control.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during project audits.
  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  2. +15 years of experience in project cost control within the contracting, construction, or industrial facilities industry.
  3. Strong expertise in project cost management, cost control procedures, and cost estimation.
  4. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and subcontractor management.
  5. Proficient in cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  6. Advanced proficiency in cost control software and financial tools.
  7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
