Job Description
Job Purpose:
Will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility, availability, and sales across key accounts and large retail chains (e.g., Carrefour, Hypermarkets, and other major retailers). The role involves working closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure optimal shelf presence, promotions, and in-store execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies and planograms in coordination with marketing to enhance brand visibility and drive sales.
- Ensure optimal product placement, shelf compliance, and POS material deployment across key accounts (e.g., Carrefour, Hypermarkets).
- Plan and execute in-store promotions, track effectiveness, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Monitor competitor activities, analyze market trends, and adjust tactics to maintain competitive advantage.
- Build strong relationships with retail partners, negotiate merchandising agreement s, and secure prime shelf positioning.
- Manage, coach, and guide the merchandising team to ensure effective execution of all in-store activities.
- Work with sales and supply chain teams to minimize stockouts, optimize replenishment, and support demand forecasting.
- Prepare performance reports, analyze ROI, and recommend data-driven improvements for merchandising strategies.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field.
- 10+ years in FMCG merchandising/trade marketing (food/beverage preferred).
- Extensive experience with large retail chains (Carrefour, Hypermarkets etc.).
- Proficient in MS Office and retail execution tools.
- Has the ability to work across all locations in Egypt.
