Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Draftsman to join our light current systems team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts for various light current projects, including systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, access control, and other low-voltage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Drawing and Drafting:
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for light current systems based on project specifications.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
2. Project Documentation:
• Create and maintain an organized database of project drawings and documents.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards and industry codes.
3. Coordination with Engineers:
• Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret project requirements and make adjustments to designs as necessary.
• Work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings accurately reflect the project’s scope and design intent.
4. Site Surveys and Measurements:
• Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess project requirements when needed.
• Update and adjust drawings based on site-specific conditions and measurements.
5. Software and Technology Use:
• Utilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other drafting tools to create and modify designs.
• Stay updated on new software and drafting techniques relevant to the industry.
Requirements:
Job Requirements
1. Experience 3-5 Years
• Proven experience as a draftsman, ideally with a focus on light current or electrical systems.
• Familiarity with low-voltage systems (CCTV, access control, fire alarms, etc.) is preferred.
2. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• Basic understanding of electrical and light current system components.
3. Analytical Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all drawings.
4. Communication Skills:
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other team members.
• Good written communication skills for documenting project details.
5. Education:
• A diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualities:
• Problem-solving mindset to troubleshoot and optimize designs as needed.
• Flexibility to adapt to project changes and revisions.
