Job Description

  • Planning, preparing, issue solving, and control production schedules and material requirements to ensure a control flow of approved materials to meet production requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between technical office, production, procurement, warehouse, and sales (showroom) teams to ensure successful delivery of all client requirements.
  • Monitors day-to-day work progress and prepare weekly and monthly status reports, and production schedules and conducts material requirements planning for custom/special orders.
  • Ensures regular updates of production and procurement plans in line with the production schedule.
  • Liaises with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure storage availability of raw materials, and finished goods and monitors the unexpected delays on the project plan.
  • Liaises with the client relations coordinator and finance teams to ensure successful completion and delivery of all work orders according to time plans.
  • Develop and maintain reports relating to process, product, and operation on-time performance. Advises management when on-time order delivery is at risk.
  • Works daily with peers and superiors developing the maturity of the production planning systems in support of business goals and a continuous improvement initiative.
  • Correlates planning and scheduling of orders with machine loading and labour availability to obtain optimum utilization of equipment, efficient allocation of labour, and on-time delivery of products.
  • Schedule shift according to production needs.
  • Revise and reschedules shop orders when necessary.
  • Evaluates production statistics and their impact to the production schedule. Reports major variances from plan to appropriate management personnel along with a course correction action plan for managing issues as they arise.
  • Coordinating production workflow for one or multiple products.
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Performs physical counts of raw material and work in process (WIP) inventory, identifying and solving inventory variances.
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
  • Keep paperwork organized.
  • Daily review of dispatch to ensure on-time and accurate processes of transactions between operations.
  • Ensures regular updates of production plans and submits regular reports to senior management.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in Manufacturing/Engineering Industry is a must.
  • Planning management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience more thane 5 years in wooden furniture industry
  • Competent Knowledge of internal operations such as: materials management, master scheduling, forecasting and production planning
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Data analysis
  • Architect and/interior designer
  • Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering or Applied Arts.
