Job Description
Job Summary:
The Quality Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all food and beverage operations within the hospital meet the highest quality and safety standards. This includes monitoring processes, performing inspections, and implementing quality control measures to ensure compliance with hospital policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the quality of food and beverage operations in the hospital.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen areas, food preparation, and storage facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Monitor hygiene practices and ensure they align with hospital regulations and industry standards.
- Review and maintain documentation related to food safety, including records of inspections and compliance.
- Collaborate with kitchen and procurement staff to ensure that all food supplies meet quality standards.
- Investigate and address any food safety or quality issues that arise and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in training staff on food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Stay up to date with local and international food safety regulations and ensure the hospital is in full compliance.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Agriculture, or Home Economics.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in quality control, preferably in food and beverage.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a hospital environment and maintain high safety standards.
