Job Description
- Oversee all operations within the toolroom, ensuring organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
- Manage, document, and ensure the proper storage of all tools and equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Supervise and support toolroom technicians, providing guidance and addressing any issues related to tool preparation, use, and maintenance. •
- Train new employees and upskill team members, ensuring they adhere to operational standards and best practices. •
- Oversee regular inspections and preventive maintenance of tools, proactively identifying wear or damage. •
- Work closely with the Process Development Department to incorporate new parts and ensure proper tool usage. •
- Collaborate with the Production Department to meet tooling requirements, optimize tool selection, and enhance production quality. •
- Select and evaluate suppliers for tool procurement, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. •
- Decide on the appropriate tools and materials for specific production tasks, considering efficiency and longevity. •
- Stay informed on the latest tool technologies, implementing advancements that improve productivity and reduce tool wear. •
- Analyze tool consumption and performance data to identify areas for efficiency improvements and cost reductions
Job Requirements
- •High school diploma in a technical field, mechanical technician or completed engineering degree in mechanical engineering •
- Minimum of 5 years in a toolroom or production environment •
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office to manage reports, statistics, and collaboration. •
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities. •
- Familiarity with tooling and production processes, as well as knowledge of tool maintenance and procurement.
