We're on the hunt for a talented Audio Engineer (broadcasting, film, video) in Saudi Arabia who can demonstrate a passion for video, creative thinking and storytelling abilities. The required candidate should have energy and enthusiasm and be able to work hard on a variety of projects. The candidate will shoot and assist in editing.
You’ll be expected to have a good knowledge of trends in the video and social media industries and apply them to your work. We’re looking for someone who wants to build something great, super motivated and a team player.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Understanding client briefs and selecting the appropriate sound and mixing equipment for the project.
- Communicating with clients and coordinating with other staff members to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed to specifications.
- Editing, mixing, and manipulating recorded and live sound.
- Setting up equipment safely and on time.
- Designing audio systems and advising clients on equipment purchases.
- Testing and troubleshooting equipment regularly, and replacing any faulty components.
- Fixing and enhancing sound at live events.
- Collaborating and networking with other Audio Engineers and professionals in the field.
- Participating in training opportunities and constantly finding new ways to improve skills.
Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Associate's degree or other relevant certification recommended.
- Certificate in audio technology or similar recommended.
- Practical experience with sound equipment.
- Superb ear for sound.
- Ability to work under pressure and stay calm when things go wrong.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Professional self-starter with a growth mindset.
Additional Qualifications and Requirements
- Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
- Supports the team throughout the production process, which may include finding interview subjects.
- Some knowledge of grading and sound mixing is desirable.
- Able to meet deadlines and follow internal processes.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to communicate accurately an idea to the team.
- Strong management and communication skills. (ability to understand client needs and work with others on execution)
- Passion for searching out new perspectives and processes.
- Positive attitude towards challenges.
- Must be able to show work samples from previous projects e.g. Showreel
